Expansion Plans Announced for Sea Rocket Adventures

OCEAN CITY, Md. (July 26, 2017) – Sea Rocket Adventures has announced expansion plans for its new inlet location at 700 South Philadelphia Avenue. These plans include a recreation area for both children and adults, as well as continuing community involvement.

At the recent VIP Sea Rocket Experience on July 18th, Todd Burbage of Blue Water Development, which co-owns Sea Rocket Adventures, addressed the crowd of local media, tourism and bloggers. “We are loving our new home at the inlet, and it’s thrilling to see our vision for our launch pad coming to life,” Burbage said. “Our renovation efforts will be geared toward enhancing family fun with recreational activities and features on the property next year. Basically, more fun while you wait!”

The Ocean City community continues to play an important role in the Sea Rocket’s philosophy. Burbage explained that anyone is welcome to use the Sea Rocket’s private pier, beach and forthcoming recreational area, whether they have purchased tickets or not. “We’re right across from the boardwalk and rides, so it’s convenient if you’re looking for a quieter spot to enjoy a water view,” he said.

Giving back remains a top priority for the group, as Burbage announced upcoming plans to host Big Brothers and Big Sisters at the Sea Rocket. “We love the opportunity to get kids out on the water, kids who maybe have never been on a boat before. We consider the greater Ocean City community our family, and it’s important that we enrich their lives whenever possible.”

Sea Rocket Adventures’ new fishing charters were designed with families in mind, offering a simple, turnkey format. “The equipment and bait are provided—all you have to do is show up, no experience required,” Burbage explained. The fishing trips are two hours, and there is a bathroom on board.
